There are a lot of YELLOW-BREASTED CHATS singing (or whatever you want to call it -- doing perched-up comedy?) along the Provo River at the mouth of the canyon (around Murdock Dam).  I also saw a Western Tanager and a couple of orioles as I walk along without binoculars -- I was trying to get some exercise -- the quality of exercise tends decrease significantly if I have binocs with me for some strange reason.  ~ Milt
