[ucbnet] Red Crossbills in my yard

After hearing that Lynn Garner had crossbills in his yard and figuring that I'm only about 3 blocks from his place, as the crossbill flies, I set out a bird buffet in my yard on Saturday morning.  At about noon I saw a female RED CROSSBILL at the feeder and more started to show up.  I saw 3 males and 4 females all together and got some photos some of which I'll pass on here:

There really IS a Santa Claus!! -- in April too,
