[ucbnet] PROVO AIRPORT DIKE

Wed. 16th afternoon - Hoping the strong NW wind would bring in birds, I parked on the airport dike for 2 hours with these results: eared grebes, pied-billed grebes, Clark's grebes, pelicans (large number). cormorants, one GREAT EGRET, flock of WHITE-FACED IBIS, Canada geese, mallards, shovelers, buffleheads, SWAINSON'S HAWK, pheasants, coots, SANDHILL CRANES, avocets, California gulls, ruby crowned kinglets, marsh wren, vesper sparrow, white crowned sparrows,  barn swallows, tree swallows, starlings, and black capped chickadees. There were other ducks, out of scope range, due to the strong wind.  Other birders were also present, and they may be able to add to this list.
