Just a few notes from Provo this past week.

There is a roost of Turkey Vultures in the large
sycamores on Center Street at 400 E in Provo. Im not
sure if this is a traditional roost site, but there
have been upwards of 25 birds here every night for the
past week or so. There are droppings all over the
sidewalk below and some of the birds sit fairly low
and in the open, affording gripping views (ha, if
staring at TV's is your thing).

I heard a Western Screech Owl calling from the corner
of 420 N 600 E in Provo last week, but was unable to
locate the bird when I searched during daylight hours.

Also, Ive been hearing/seeing Pine Siskins every day
along 500 E in Provo, south of BYU campus, and had a
single MacGillivray's Warbler at 274 N 500 E in a
backyard on Tuesday.
