[ucbnet] Help with ID

Last Saturday (Sep 29) I was on the west side of Utah
lake by west mountain watching birds fly around in the
gale force winds. I had a single passerine fly
directly over my head making a buzzing noise. The call
note was a rather drawn out bzzzzzzrttttt, the bird
was about house finch size, with a notched tail, it
was pale brown with perhaps some markings on the
flanks but it was hard to see in the cloudy
conditions. Any comments?  
I know Dickcissels have a buzzy call note, but I wasnt
about to jump to conclusions on a rare bird. Any Utah
birds with a call note similar to this?
