Greetings UC Birders,

The day before yesterday in the early afternoon (I wasn't expecting to
see many birds) I was walking on the path going north from the mouth of
Rock Canyon and just where the path comes to the black "Covey fence"
there was a flock of 20 to 30 BUSHTITS in the hackberry tree (bush)
which were going back a forth to the sunflowers, weeds and bushes. I
was within 5 feet of them -- they were all around me -- it was great! ~

P.S. There was a lot of bird activity including Steller's and
Scrub-Jays, magpies, juncos and lots of Spotted Towhees. They were
moving all over the place -- must have been caused by the intermittent
stormy conditions, I figure.
