[ucbnet] The first UTAH LAKE FESTIVAL

Hi Birders:
  I was conacted by Scott Root of the Division Of Wildlife Resources regarding our participation  in the Frstival.  Aparently Alton is out of town.  The date of the Festival is Sat.June 3.  I am aware that the Big Sit is planned for that day.  Also that is the same day as my traditional family reunion is.  
   
  Scott suggests we have a booth set up.  He is willing to assist.  He also has some stuffed birds that can be used for display.  The time will be from 11:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M.  He suggests that we conduct some tours.  I think the Skipper Bay trail, the Ox Bow,  the Airport Dike and  possibly the Utah Lake State park would be interesting to most visitors.   
   
  This is a great opportunity for the Club.  We will need volunteers.  One to Chair,  several to conduct tours and  two or three to "man" the booth.  I assume it will be at Utah Lake State Park.   I was away and I am going on the message that Scott left on my phone.  I am waiting for a response for a message I left for him.   
   
  Maybe we can get something started at the Big Day on Tuesday if you feel it is worthy of the effort.
