Milt,
Hi, I know I don't keep in touch very well....but I want to let you on to some action here at UVSC that the birding community should be involved in. As you know, we have a wonderful population of Cliff swallows that annually nests here on campus on the west stairwell of the Pope Science building. They are back and working very hard to build nests. Unfortunately, the facilities department decided to spray an epoxy in the corners of the cement where they build and the nests are just falling away. We are doing everything we know to do here, but we could use some community help in gaining support for this wonderous activity. I don't know what I'm suggesting, but cameras, media, a fieldtrip...soon!!! I'm out of town, and feel sick about the situation. Just giving you heads up on something that we all should be celebrating every year instead of mourning!
Thanks for all you do,
Renee Van Buren

Oh, the SANDERLINS at the Boat Harbor are in winter plumage so they almost completely white -- always nice to know so details about what you're looking for.
