Folks- some pleasing birds to have using our Audubon sanctuary this past weekend, esp. so many pintails and swans. I'd welcome additional surveys to be posted with e-bird...all the info is already entered there under"Amalga Barrens Sanctuary". We walk the east fence line, counting everything on the water and on land (or above) from there to the fence line (or our 4x4 boundary posts). From road to road is a 1-1.1 mile walk (depending on your route). Oh, and there was a roadkill mink and evidence of vole slaughter by it in the snow.
yours,
jim cane
