My wife and I saw a flock of White-winged Crossbills in the Smithfield Cemetary this morning. There were no Red Crossbills in the flock. Other birds in the cemtary included Pine Siskins, American Goldfinch, Townsend Solitarie, Cassin's Finch and lots of Robins. Normally I see Brown Creepers and owls at the cemetary, but we struck out on these birds.

If you are staying up late at night thinking about your next birding trip, you might consider taking your spotting scope outside and looking for the Comet Lupin (near Virgo) which should be visible for another two weeks.
