Hiked Curtis Ridge 1.5 miles east, behind the Visitor Center at Hardware
Ranch, Cache Co., today.  Highlights were five different Dusky Grouse, all
at the top of canyons/draws on the east side of the ridge, including a
booming male that allowed me to approach within 12-15 ft as he "boomed".
WOW!  Have seen and heard many Dusky Grouse in Oregon and Idaho, but not a
booming male at 12 feet. Sweet!

Mourning Cloaks and a tortoiseshell sp. were also out in force.
