Birders,
Reinhard and I were down at Sue's Ponds (west of the landfill) yesterday
afternoon. We started on the south side along the extension of 200 south
then worked our way up 1900 west and finally walked in past the sign.
There were many yellow-headed blackbirds(15-20). . .coots(15-20). .
.plenty of gulls (Franklin's and california or ring-billed). .
.cormorant(1). . .pied-billed grebe(1). . .
duck species included scaup. . .redhead. . .bufflehead. . .shoveler . .
.teal(cinnamon?)
Also two pelicans flew over to the north and a handful of black-necked
stilt at close range gave us a finale. . .
pleasant birding,
Dan Zamecnik
