Nothing too exciting this morning. I had a little time this morning to shoot
through the Logan Cemetery where I found a juvenile male Red Crossbill and
some Red-breasted Nuthatches along with House Finches and Crows.
I then stopped by at the Logan River Wetlands (Sue's Ponds) and saw that the
Ross's Goose was still there and gull numbers were still high. The playa was
frozen when I arrived but a spot thawed out and the goose and gulls
literally began flocking to the open water to take turns bathing and
drinking. Gulls included a mixture of Ring-billed and California with a
handful of Herring and I'm still studying my photos, but maybe a Thayer's.
