[TopOfUtah] Dry Lake Revisited and errata

Couldn't help it ... passing Dry Lake on the way home I had to see if there
was anything new and sure 'nuff...

In addition the the  usual gang of mallards, am coots, YHBB, Brewer's BB,
gulls and White-faced Ibis, there were:

Cinnamon Teals,     4
Redhead                 10
Eared Grebe           4 (one more joined the 3 I saw last Friday)
Wilson's Phalarope    16
Scaup (Lesser or Greater???)  8
barn swallow  1 (MY first siting of the season in this area)

When I got home, 2 barn swallows were flying around the house.
I hope this means my beloved Western Kingbirds will show up tomarrow, or the
next day!

While standing in the driveway, talking to a neighbor, two flocks of
white-faced ibis flew over head in V-formation.  One flock had 75 - 100, the
other had at least 200.  I think they were fleeing the storm.  While at Dry
Lake, the wind whipped up to about 45- 50 mph.  It nearly knocked me over.
When it hit, I was watching the ducks and saw the wind literally blow the
water clean off the earth and most of the birds flew off.  I was amazed to
watch as Mr & Mrs Mallard tucked their heads over their backs and rough it
out.

Errata:  In my report made from Mantua Lake, I reported 2 Northern
Shovelers.  I think they were male common Merganser.  The Common merganser I
reported from Willard Bay South Marina was either a female Common merganser
or a red-breasted merganser.  I can't distinguish between them.... yet.
