[TopOfUtah] Weekend birding in Cache Co.,
incl. Short-billed Dowitcher

Here are a few highlights from the weekend.
Saturday Mo Correll, Craig Fosdick, Bob Atwood, and I saw a Short-billed
Dowitcher at Sue's Ponds (Mitigation Ponds, just west of the Logan
Landfill). It's possible this is the same bird that was in the area back
in January, but I don't know of anyone seeing it since. We weren't able
to relocate the Mew Gull there. I also saw my first Brewer's Sparrow of
the year in Benson. Here's a photo of the Short-billed Dowitcher
showing the distinctive tail pattern:

Today (Sunday) I saw my first White-throated Swifts of the year in Logan
Canyon, at least four birds near Right Hand Fork.
