Birded Cutler Marsh this evening from a pullout along Utah Hwy 30 <1 mile
east of the boat launch; 10+ MARBLED GODWITS, 8 CATTLE EGRETS, 3 WILLETS,
10+ LESSER YELLOWLEGS, and 230+ WHITE-FACED IBIS.
At the Logan Mitigation Ponds: 29 BONAPARTE'S GULLS, plus 1+ WILSON'S
PHALAROPE, and 5 or so LESSER YELLOWLEGS, plus the usual suspects. No sign
of any of the peeps that were present yesterday.
I also estimated 300+ WHITE-FACED IBIS in the wetlands (don't know what
they're called) just north of Sardine Summit along US 89. White-faced Ibis
are really starting to build in numbers!
Good birding, Craig.
Logan, Utah.
