I went out yesterday evening to try and catch up on the latest birds that have migrated into Cache Valley. I saw a first of year Northern Rough-winged Swallow flying on the southside of he Logan Landfill. Other first of year birds in the vicinity of the landfill were Snowy Egret, Black-necked Stilt, and Lesser Yellowlegs. I tried to locate the Bonaparte's Gull and Common Grackle that had been reported yesterday, but no luck. I did find a flock of Vesper Sparrows in the vicinity of the Juniper Systems facility.
Thanks.
Buck Russell
