[slbnet] The last couple days

Since the folks up north and down south don't like to share their sightings with all of Utah I have decided to only post my Salt Lake County birding to this list. This state doesn't need 6 different listservs with so few birders...

Sunday 01/20:

- 2 CACKLING GOOSE - Lake Park Facility.  I saw one in the A.M. and another in the P.M. with Colby Neuman and Steve Sommerfeld (the latter appeared to be a different bird)
- 1 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL - Decker Lake (yep thats right), the same 3rd year bird form Lee Kay Ponds (seen with the Sommerfelds in the A.M.)
- 4 THAYER'S GULL - Decker Lake, 3 1st winter and one adult
- There were 1500 some odd gulls at Decker Lake on Sunday, and not a single one at Lee Kay Ponds.
- 53 Canvasback - Lee Kay Ponds
- 10 Black Rosy-Finch - Alta at the Ben Hame Home
- 8 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch - Alta at the Ben Hame Home

Today 01/22:

- 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler - at my parents house in Sugarhouse (1st winter warbler ever at their house)
