IN TROUBLE

It has been awhile since we have had new officers in our bird club. We
have
about 81 members, so our club should be doing well. If for some reason
you’ve never served as an officer of the club, I would suggest that you
try
to find the time to do so. It really is fun and you get to know more
members of the club. Most of the leaders have said that they would like
a
rest this next year. That means you and I need to step up. Don’t be
afraid to participate. Let our president, Bob MacDougall, know where
your
interests lie and how you would like to help. His e-mail address is
(zippymahatma at comcast.net). It would be nice if more than one person
wanted
to do all the jobs. Maybe we could even have an election. The positions

needing to be filled are President, Vice President, Secretary,
Treasurer,
Field Trips Coordinator, Newsletter Editor, and Hospitality, Membership
and
Publicity Chairmen. That means 8 of us are needed, so call or e-mail
now if
you are interested.

As I look at the clubs to the north and south of us I can see there are

things we don’t do. (Meetings once a month in winter, more postings on
their web page, involvement with other clubs, a big commitment like the
bird
festival.) You can see there our things that would help us do a better
job
and bring a fresh new spirit to our club. It could be we only need you
to
make our club a lot better.
