crossbills

My son and I would like to see the two crossbills species (for the first
time).  Is Brighton a good place?  Where do we go?  Anyone going up this
Sunday am? We are in Salt Lake City till next Tues eve.  How about owls?
We saw the burrowing owls and have great horned but would love to see
others.
