Hello,
This evening at 5:30p I saw a female Long-tailed Duck at Sand Hollow State
Park (Washington Co.). She was swimming/diving off of the emerged sand and
gravel bar south of the main parking lot. It appears that waterfowl are
starting to move as there was also a male Red-breasted Merganser present on
the reservoir, and Cinnamon Teal are starting to show up in the county. I
didn't have time to take the loop road around Sand Hollow, but I couldn't
locate the swans scoping from the parking lot area, so I'm not sure if
they've moved on or not.
Regards,
Rick Fridell
