Hello,
Yesterday afternoon (5/27), I photographed a singing White-throated Sparrow
in the large willow patch at Ash Creek Reservoir (the small, usually dry
reservoir at the top of the Black Ridge along I-15). This area can be
accessed be taking Exit 36 off of I-15. The willows along the inflow
typically hold a nice variety of migrants and residents. Also the pinyon
juniper areas around the reservoir have some interesting summer breeding
species including Gray Vireo and Black-chinned Sparrow.
Regards,
Rick Fridell,
