Hello Everyone,

The spring migration is picking up with lots of geese and even a few swans
moving though Washington County (particularly at Sand Hollow State Park).
Turkey Vultures, DC Cormorants, and American Avocets are increasing
throughout the county. New spring arrivals this week include Bonaparte's
Gulls, a Caspian Tern and Sage Thrashers. Yesterday morning (3/15) the
first Hooded Oriole of the year showed up at the hummingbird feeders in the
yard.

And at least one of the two male Lawrence's Goldfinches is still visiting a
feeder in Santa Clara (see below).

Enjoy the spring,

Regards,

Rick Fridell

Subject: [Birdnet] Lawrence's Goldfinches in Santa Clara

    Hello Everyone,

There are two male Lawrence's Goldfinch visiting a residential feeder in
Santa Clara. There are some special circumstances with the home owners, so
anyone interested in trying for the finches, please contact me and I can
give you the details and coordinate your visit. Fortunately the birds are
visiting a feeder visible from the main road and have been coming in
regularly.

If you're interested in viewing the birds send me an email or give me a
call (435.619.0796).

    Thanks,

    Rick Fridell
