Overall numbers of migrants seemed to be down from the last couple weekends in the county but I did see a couple notable birds. At Lytle Ranch on Friday I saw a Brown Thrasher in the area before the first pond and today there was a HY male Rose-breasted Grosbeak at Eagle mountain Ranch. Today I also spent some time birding some of my favorite spots around Gunlock but the best thing I saw was a pair of Lewis's Woodpeckers. There were a lot of Sparrows a few Warblers ( mostly Orange crowned a couple Mac's a Wilson and a few Yellow-rumped) Pine siskins, Goldfinch's and a late Black-headed Grosbeak.
