Hello all,

I will be visiting southwestern Utah in September for 6 days in mid-September and wanted any updated info on the 25 birds on my list. I have the McIvor book. We plan to stay in Springdale/Zion for 2 nights and near Duck Creek for 3 nights. We plan to visit Bryce Canyon for one day and Zion 1-2 days with 2-3 being flexible. We may drive to the north rim of the Grand Canyon one day as well. I will be with a group on non-birders but who enjoy nature and the outdoors. I may have access to my own car for a morning/day. Anyway, here is my list.

  California Condor
  Chukar
  Dusky Grouse
  Baird's Sandpiper
Spotted Owl - Any good trails into side canyons in Zion?
  Northern Saw-whet Owl
  Flammulated Owl
  Northern Pygmy-Owl
  Common Poorwill
  Calliope Hummingbird
  Lewis' Woodpecker
  Williamson's Sapsucker
  American Three-toed Woodpecker
  Gray Flycatcher
  Gray Vireo
  Plumbeous Vireo
  Cassin's Vireo
  Bendire's Thrasher
  Crissal Thrasher
  Le Conte's Thrasher
  Virginia's Warbler
  Hermit Warbler
  Sage Sparrow
  Black-chinned Sparrow
  Black Rosy-Finch - Any area's on Brian's Head Peak?

I realize that many of these are long-shots, but you never know. Thanks in advance for any replies. I am very excited about the trip. I have been to this area once before and had a great time.

  Regards,
