Greetings,

I have three items concerning the checklist:

1. I think the number of species should be 443 instead of 442 (might have been my mistake) I checked the "First State Records" list (on the committee website) and it looks like the at least the last 10 or so are all on there including #443 - Whip-poor-will.

2. Kris is right, I don't check the excite email address very often.  You could use my miltonmoody at yahoo.com address or it might be better to use one that doesn't have my name in it like records at utahbirds.org (which goes to the same place and looks quite appropriate) or utahbirds at gmail.com which I check quite ofter.

3. I selected the picture of the stilt for the 2004 checklist not only because it was a nice and I thought very interesting picture but because it has a very thin vertical width which fit the checklist well and also it didn't have any background, etc. so that it was only the bird that was on there -- no square edges which I wanted to avoid.  We can always PhotoShop stuff out if we want to but for me the shape and how it fits on the checklist would be important -- there are a lot of pictures to choose from in the Photo Gallery and I don't think it would be hard to get permission to use any of them -- Paul's are definitely some of the best and as Kris said, he's very willing to let us use them, so we have a lot of possibilities as far as photos are concerned.  I'll check out some of them and see if there are any that look like they might look good in black and white and would be appropriate for Utah.
