Hello, all.
I agree with Ron on this. As "nice" as it might be to be communicate
more with the public, we really shouldn't compromise our "aura of
objectivity" with speculative publications. There are, as Ron points
out, other venues for that. Thank you, Ron, for putting it so well.

Milt, I like your idea of having more articles in the UOS journal
related to bird
sightings and records. However, I am not sure we should published
accounts of
species where the records are not yet reviewed, or not accepted. This
is better left
to the web page. I think the journal should report the best science we
can
produce, but limit speculation.
