  Greetings,

The good news about the jeager record is that Tim Avery has sent in four more pictures of critical details of the bird. The bad new is that the bird is in the freezer waiting to be stuffed and the only information I could get comes from an e-mail I just received from Eric Rickart, curator of the Museum of Natural History at the U of U, who replied:

"Well, I'm sorry but I can't provide you with a much information. When
Tim brought th jaeger in, I passed it off to Dale Clayton, our adjunct
ornithologist, for preparation. I think its still in a freezer, but it
will be prepared and installed in the collection eventually. As far as
I know, everyone who has seen the specimen believes it is a parasitic
jaeger. In our collection, we have two previous records from the same
area."

Here's a link to the photo for the jeager record with the new ones at the bottom:

We may just have to review the record with the information and photos that we have.

  Thanks,
  Milt
