Greetings,
As usual I'm a poor comunicator. I was thinking that in the group of
"7-0" records we might find one or two "no-brainers" (actually I found
a "no-brainer" when I looked in the mirror this morning) and that one
of them might have been done faster than 36 days which is the "fastest"
record we've had this year.
Not that speed is the main thing. I'm just thinking that if with the
system we have, we could actually do a record in one day (it's really
true) -- it would have to be an obvious record and everyone would have
to look at the "new record notice" on that day, click the link, look at
the record and send in their vote -- (not that we should expect that,
you understand). That COULD happen with this system, so to think that
the shortest turn-around time was 36 days -- the very fastest one -- is
something that seems like an unreasonable delay to me -- that's just
me, I suppose. Whether other records committees are faster or slower
doesn't mean much to me, I'm just looking for a reasonable time for OUR
system. (And I'd also like the submitters to feel like we think their
records are important).
Sorry if I've placed undue pressure on doing things quickly. Doing a
thorough and well-thought-out review is the main thing and I think
we're doing well at that. Sorry if anyone is offened by my
"punctuality hangup" -- I've been trying to work on it, with maybe a
little bit of encouraging success.
Best wishes,
Milt
