More Than Just Birds

Out at the preserve on Friday, there were three
unwary, curious bucks and two does.  There's an
abundance of flickers now and the white-crowned
sparrows and juncos have moved down from the
mountains.  A Cooper's hawk got buzzed repeatedly by
an agitated kestrel.  It was a good fall morning to be
out birding.
