[Birdtalk] Blue-winged Teal

There was a pair of Blue-winged Teal at Farmington Bay. They were in the first watery field on the right just past the enterence gate at about 4 PM on Saturday.  They were swimming in the grassy areas, but the male's head, with the obvious crescent, poking up above the grass drew our attention.  This was a lifer for my two friends Minna and Jon from California and a first for me in Davis County.  There was a lot of activity at the end of Glover's Lane including 3 avocet chicks on the east side of the road away from the ponds.
