This morning my wife and I birded around Cache Valley. The best birds of the morning were a pair of Sandhill Crane chicks at the Benson Oxbow (Lower Bear River Overlook). They were easily seen from the parking lot. We also saw Eastern Kingbirds at the Benson Marina (on the fence near the main parking lot) and we saw another Eastern Kingbird on the south side of the Logan Landfill, in bushes near the road. I hope that you are having a birdy Memorial Day weekend. Look for owls as you visit the cemetaries.
