[Birdtalk] Bobolink

I went to the Mendon Rd.  field to see if I could find the bobolink.  I
stood in the hot evening sun with my spotting scope and binocs checking out
every bird and fence post.  I was just about to give it up when I heard an
unusual bird song.  I spotted the bird singing and sure 'nuff, there it was
- a gorgeous male bobolink singing his lungs out.  I got a really good look
at him through my scope for about 5 minutes or less, but all I can say is
WOW!    This is the first Bobolink I have seen and I have wanted to see one
for several years.  It was worth standing in the sun and enduring the rush
hour traffic.  This made my day!--
