Today Steve and I had the opportunity of helping Ann Neville host a GSLBF
field trip to some of Kennicott's Oquirrh Mountain property. Our trip gave
us some glorious views of the Salt Lake Valley and from our summit we had an
incredible view of the Tooele valley.
Some of the highlights included Wild Turkey, Hammond's and Dusky
Flycatcher, Plumbeous and Warbling Vireo, Mountain Bluebird, Green-tailed
and Spotted Towhee, Lazuli Buntings (many) and a Western Tanager. The bird
of the trip had to be three Dusky Grouse that came close for all to see.
It was a fun field trip with good birds and pleasant company.
