[Birdtalk] Bear River - 5/15/09

This is NOT a bird festival report. 



I was out at BRBR today and saw all the birds Kris Van Fleet reported from yesterday with the exception of NOT seeing the Oriole, Eastern Kingbird Robin, or the TV (it was a very un-raptor morning).  There was indeed a female Red-breasted Merganser swimming along the north road canal, not far from the facilities building.  The Great Egret I saw was in the ponds west of the visitor's center on the north side of the road. 



Additionally, I saw a Long-billed Curlew, G reen-winged Teal, American Kestrel, Northern Shoveler, Sandhill Crane, Eared Grebe, and I heard a Sora .
