I was in town for a couple of days, and I was able to monitor migration a
little bit from my parents house near the base of Neff's Canyon.
Highlights include...

The latest spring WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW ('Mountain' subspecies) we've had to
date...at least of those entered in ebird.

And then today we had a single male EVENING GROSBEAK come to our water
feature and feeders...it's only the 2nd time I've seen them at their house
in 8+ years.

Other new arrivals that were not heard yesterday include a singing CHIPPING
SPARROW, WARBLING VIREO and VIRGINIA'S WARBLER. A silent DUSKY FLYCATCHER
moved through the yard this morning. MacGillivray's Warbler, Yellow-rumped
Warbler and Western Tanager are still notably absent...

And yesterday a HERMIT THRUSH came to the water.

Other than that, we still have at least 1 DARK-EYED JUNCO, 10+ PINE SISKINS,
and a handful of BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS and LAZULI BUNTINGS.

Two weeks ago, I observed the resident GOLDEN EAGLES and PEREGRINE FALCONS
flying around the west slabs of Mount Olympus...both of which I believe nest
somewhere in the vicinity as I've now seen them repeatedly for several
years.
