Birded Yellow Fork Canyon in SL county today with Bob McDougal. Spotted
Towhees and Black-headed Grosbeaks were the dominant species heard and seen.
We also found Chipping Sparrows, Lesser Goldfinch, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers,
Brown-headed Cowbirds, Mountain Blue Birds, Orange-crowned Warbler, Downy
Woodpecker, Hammond's Flycatcher, House Wren and Hermit Thrush. No luck
with a Black-throated Gray Warbler, but saw one I tried to make into a
Nashville. Not enough of a luck to make a conclusive id.

On the home front, in Holliday I had a dozen Red Crossbills visit my feeders
yesterday. They were a new yard bird. Also the Pines Siskins have returned
to my feeders.
