Greetings,
I'll be sending periodic reminders about the difference between birdnet and birdtalk so people new to the system will be informed (if they hadn't read about it) and others reminded.  Thanks to those who have send in suggestions on how we can make the system better.  If anyone has other suggestions, complains or anything like that, please contact me personally and I'll try to respond appropriately.

I appreciate your help and cooperation,
Milt Moody

(Here's the initial version of the reminder I'll be sending out):

This is a reminder of how we’d like you to use the two state-wide listservs for Utah.

Please use the BIRDNET (hotline) to report rare or unusual bird sighting and to ask questions or make comments about these sightings.
(You can set up your cell phone to alert you when there is a message on this hotline.  See instrustions: http://www.utahbirds.org/connections/InstantAlert.html)

Please use the BIRDTALK  (chat-line) to make field trip reports, to participate in discussions, to ask questions about birds and birding and to announce birding-related activities.

Please try to follow the stated rules of etiquette for the listservs.  Here’s a link:
http://www.utahbirds.org/connections/E-hotlinesRules.html

Please be tolerant of any seeming misuse or inconvenience that may be caused by a two-list-state-wide system.

Thanks you
