[Birdtalk] Apologies

After I'd finally gotten the whole birdnet/birdtalk thing straightened out in my head, I wrote a short posting re Brewer's Sparows, Cassin's Finches, etc., on birdnet - those were bird SIGHTINGS. Just after that I posted another SIGHTING of crows in the avenues. They were SIGHTINGS and that's why I posted them as SIGHTINGS and not TALK. I just read all the brouhaha on the combined birdnet/birdtalk listings and was amazed that I was again being chastised (or not) about posting "chit-chat" on BIRDNET, which is wasn't what I'd done. I posted SIGHTINGS. The one about the crow SIGHTING had an added number of words that was meant to go out to those who I'd "talked" with me re crows in Utah some time ago and really wasn't meant as TALK.
I just went back to my "Sent" file at YahooMail to double check that the reports had gone out to birdnet, because the reports were SIGHTINGS. I'd posted the two back-to-back sightings on birdnet and that's that.
What is it I'm missing here? Do a few little words make that much difference when reporting a sighting?
I haven't checked my In box at YahooMail yet, but I can see that there are 15 pieces of mail there, and I'm sure the majority of them will be from birders responding, one way or another, to my SIGHTINGS. MY PLAN WAS - IF ANYONE WANTED TO CONTINUE THE TALK ABOUT CROWS, I WAS GOING TO SWITCH OVER TO BIRDTALK AND CONTINUE WITH THAT THERE, RATHER THAN AT BIRDNET.
If my sightings somehow mysteriously appeared on only BIRDNET, then that's not my fault.
I have been severely redundant here because I have not made any kind of mistake and I want everyone who is weighing in on this to get that straight. I have done what Milt Moody suggested to me via private email, and I don't know why this is coming back up again. After the last round of this business, I unsubscribed from Utahbirds.org as I was tired of the whole thing. I signed back up because I missed it, but now I'm thinking of going back to unsubscribing.
Sorry for the tone, but this is wearing me out.
Thanks for reading.
