This evening I birded the Logan Mitigation Ponds (aka Sue's Ponds) and the
Logan Fish Hatchery. Birdlife at the hatchery was lacking, aside from the
local SWAINSON'S HAWK pair. Only one shorebird, a BLACK-NECKED STILT.

Sue's Ponds were pretty busy. Still no peeps, but FOY birds for me were
WILSON'S PHALAROPE, SPOTTED SANDPIPER, 3 BLUE-WINGED TEAL (two males and a
female), 3 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and 3 LESSER YELLOWLEGS. A PEREGRINE
FALCON soaring high overhead caused great consternation among the
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS-they pretty much had a super freak-out.
Good birding, Craig
