I went out to Farmington Bay this morning. I ran into the Audubon Society &
ran into the same birds. I won't repeat their list. I just didn't really
see anything different.
The best birding of the day was in my own backyard. The ivy in our backyard
has grown berries which the Robins are devouring. We had at least 100
Robins in our backyard at one point. I heard and then saw Cedar Waxwings
shortly after. There was a flock of 20 or so in the neighbor's tree. I'm
assuming they're waiting to get some berries. We also had 20 or so Pine
Siskins on our thistle feeder today. One Downy Woodpecker was working the
power pole. I had two Mallards fly over. Also saw House Sparrows and House
Finch. Good birding in the city.
