[Birdtalk] Off-topic: Birds hitting front door

Ronnie:

Does her front door have glass in it? It may be a male robin who sees his reflection in the glass and thinks it is another male robin trying to invade the breeding territory he is trying to establish. This is not uncommon. She can cover the lower portion of the glass with some paper or other ornaments, so the reflections is not seen. She need only do this for a week or so.

Regards,

Bill Fenimore

A lady at my office is having trouble with a bird flying into her front door repeatedly. It's a solid wood door and there is nothing on the door, nor are there plants near it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for her to keep this poor fellow from killing himself?
