[Birdtalk] Lee Kay Ponds

Carter Lyman and I birded Lee Kay Ponds today.  We totaled 32 species in 2.5
hours.  The most exciting birds were:  American Avocet (19), Cinnamon Teal
(10), Double Crested Cormorant (2), Great Blue Heron (1), Savannah Sparrow
(6), etc.  We saw most of the ducks to be expected except for Scaup & Ruddy.
 Still a huge number of Canvasback and Green-Winged Teal.  We saw a small
number of Horned Lark & Western Meadowlark.  Here is the full list...
Canada Goose, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Mallard, Cinnamon Teal, Northern
Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Green-Winged Teal, Canvasback, Redhead,
Ring-Necked Duck, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye, Common Merganser,
Double-Crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Red-Tailed Hawk, American Coot,
Killdeer, American Avocet, Ring-Billed Gull, California Gull, Herring Gull,
Thayer's Gull, Common Raven, Horned Lark, European Starling, Savannah
Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Red-Winged Blackbird, Western Meadowlark, Brewer's
Blackbird.
