Hi All,

I hope you'll plan to join us for Tundra Swan Day activities at Bear River
Refuge tomorrow - March 14. A poster with a complete agenda for the day
can be found in the "Events" section of our web site, at:
http://bearriver.fws.gov. The Wildlife Education Center is open from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but you can view swans on the refuge during daylight
hours. Please stay on the county access road, or on the auto tour route
loop for viewing. All other areas of the refuge are closed to the public.
Stopping in the middle of the road for viewing is also discouraged. Please
pull over to the shoulder.

We are happy to be cooperating with the Utah DWR on "Tundra Swan Day in
Northern Utah", and hope you will also visit the Farmington Bay WMA and
Salt Creek WMA; at Salt Creek Wasatch Audubon members will be on hand with
spotting scopes. Viewing hours for these two sites is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m.

On Tuesday this week, our maintenance guys found a black swan on the west
side of Unit 2, which is also the west/northwest corner of the auto tour
route. We like to provide a little variety in our swan viewing...
