My wife and I skied the Beaver Creek Trail (along the Mirror Lake Highway) last Thursday. We saw a flock of Red and White-winged Crossbills (ho hum), but the best sighting of the day was the Ruffed Grouse that wandered across the trail in front of us, seemingly unimpressed with our presence.
