Hey everyone,

At about 4 pm this afternoon (March 4th) Eric Huish and I had a single VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW at Lincoln Beach, flying around close to where the Snow Bunting was seen late last year. Seemed pretty early to us!

Also at Lincoln Beach were:
Killdeer (1)
Green-winged Teal
Cinnamon Teal (about 25)
American Coot

At Benjamin Slough, despite the wind, we were able to pick out a fair diversity of waterfowl, numbers given for some:

Canada Goose
Mallard
Northern Pintail (many, and in many surrounding fields)
Gadwall
Green-winged Teal
2 possible (distant) Blue-winged Teal
Redhead (about 20 or so)
Canvasback
Ring-necked Duck
Lesser Scaup (4)

Cheers,

Matt Mills
