[Birdtalk] New Crossbill species in Idaho

This was just posted on the Idaho listserv by Cliff Weisse, and I
thought some Utah birders might be interested as well.  A new species of
Red Crossbill has just been described in southern Idaho.  Details are in

There have been murmurs in the ornithological community about further
splits of the Red Crossbill for a while now.  This may be only the first
of several new species in the Red Crossbill lineage.
