[Birdtalk] Antelope Island, Farmington Bay, GSL Shorelands Preserve

Birded with Carl and Brittney today. Here's the highlights I remember.
At the GSL Shorelands in the morning (mostly on the road leading up to it)
we had 4 fly-by SANDHILL CRANES, a LINCOLN'S SPARROW (amongst a flock of
SONG and WHITE-CROWNED), and a VIRGINIA RAIL that gave us a couple quick
peeks.
At AI, we had a flock of 25 or so SNOW GEESE flyover, and also another pair
of SANDHILL CRANES flyover. WESTERN MEADOWLARKS and HORNED LARKS have begun
to spring sing on the island. We tried looking or geese feeding in the
fields North and South of the island and of course found lots of Canada's
and not much else other than many flyover TUNDRA SWANS.
I hit Farmington Bay by myself around dusk - 100+ AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS,
and what I am pretty confident was a BONAPARTE'S GULL - it was quite small
and had a distinct, dark ear spot. It flushed when I reached for the camera,
but I feel this is most likely the correct ID. It was at the end of the
Farmington Bay road - in the waters to the South and West, after the road
winds to the right. Let me know if anyone else sees this bird in the coming
days, to confirm the ID (although more of his friends may show up soon).

Carl can chime in with any highlights I forgot to mention.

Thanks and good birding!
