[Birdtalk] hummingbirds

I've seen hummers at our feeders almost every day, but none have "claimed"
them yet. Last year, we named a male and female that reliably defended their
territories (Hummus and Tabuli). I think Hummus has returned because he was
hanging out where his feeder was before we had it out for the year. When we
saw him, we put it up quickly! He hasn't hung out for long periods yet, but
maybe he's too busy dancing for the ladies.

So far this year, I've seen black chinned hummers in Memory Grove as well as
up Big Cottonwood Canyon, so they are in their usual breeding spots.

2009 was the first year I've seen a broad tailed hummer in our yard. I've
only seen one female so far (black chinned).
