[Birdtalk] On becoming a Finch Wisperer

Long time no post. That's kind of how it is out here in Finch Land. So why not make the best of it, right?

Summer time, summer work schedule....puts me out on the deck at 5:30 a.m. eating breakfast. One can't help but notice the wonderful singing of a particular House Finch who's been there each morning. At first it appears to be typical singing, but after multiple mornings of listening to the same three songs, I've made some headway at deciphering the Finch language. Finches here in West Jordan end each cadence with a question. Here's what my Finch is saying:

"Come here, come here, my girlfriend fell on her face after spending all my money, cheap cheap, okay?"

Everyone imagines the birds that sing must be happy about something but if my deciphering is accurate, they're just as confused as humans.
